The Oxford Stammering Meetup Group

A social group for adults who stammer in Oxford.

The Oxford Stammering Meetup Group for Adults is an informal, relaxed group focused on social meetups. They meet for coffees, go on casual walks and discover new common rooms in Oxford colleges.

Organiser Birtan says, "This is a warm and inclusive group where adults with varied interests and backgrounds can come together to connect and share experiences of stammering.

'Typical meetings are light-hearted and casual, so you can unwind and engage in friendly conversations. We create an open environment where everyone can freely express themselves. We appreciate the challenges of having a different speech style, but we embrace diversity to foster personal growth as stammering can help us build empathic bonds with others".

The group is an ideal space for anyone looking to expand their social circle and enjoy meaningful interactions.

The group meets once a month in St Anne's College middle common room. It also does hybrid meetings.
