Research Talk: stammering, identity & intersectionality

Sorry, this event has ended, but see what else is coming up.
Date/time range
Wednesday 8th May 2024 3:00pm – 4:00pm

Come to our webinar where'll be exploring the topic of stammering and identity.

This is the third in our 'Research Talks' series, where we look at a different topic around stammering and what the research in that area tells us.

This hour-long webinar, on Microsoft Teams on Wednesday 8th May at 3pm, is all about stammering, identity & intersectionality.

We will be talking about:

  • research into stammering and identity
  • how our identity as a person who stammers might change over time
  • How other parts of our identity shape our relationship with stammering, and how stammering affects them.

Our guest speaker will be Dr. Derek E Daniels. As well as being a person who stammers, Derek is a speech & language therapist and Associate Professor at Wayne State University.
